BOOGIE BALL...

The Boogie Ball is a dance Poky does every year. Hayley's choir sang their 50's songs at it. Hayley made her poodle skirt by herself (well with a little help from Hannah-her Young Women leader)...she looked awesome. Here are Parker and Hayley with some friends Dallon & Tory.
Hayley and Parker are such good friends right now...It's so fun! Here they strike a cute pose before they leave! Dont ya love the lipstick on Parker's cheek!

AFTER THE SHOW...

Parker and Mikey...they became good friends while doing the show!
Hayley and I had a blast going to every show. A couple of her best friends were dancers. Isn't she pretty!

Linda...the choreographer - she is begging Parker to join her dance studio.

"AIDA"...Parker in his 1st Musical Production...so fun!

He was an Egyptian Guard. He didn't audition, but the director and choreographer loved him & talked him into being in the Musical. He only had 1 line, but was in all the dancing/production numbers. He had a blast! Now he is planning on doing all the productions he can in his senior year!!

Here is he playing another part...that of a Nubian slave. If you're not familiar with the play - it's a very serious and amazing one where the Egyptians and the Nubians are at war. Here they are mourning the loss of their Nubian princess who's been kidnapped into slavery for the Egyptian Princess. Parker got to do the dancing numbers.

This was my favorite part I think. He is playing a Egyptian Guard and there was a all male number where they danced and swung these sticks around! It was cool.

NEW YEARS EVE!!!

Hayley and her friends strike a pose! The LDS Church threw a big New Years Eve party for the kids ages 14-18. They had big blow up toys and a stage for acts and a big dance. It went from 7:30pm-12:30am. They had a blast!

Hayley and her friend Colton Belnap...obviously being silly! (:

Parker and his friend Connor were asked to BeatBox at the New Years Eve party! They practiced at home with Parker's new Microphones and sound system! They had a blast and were a huge hit! Parker is getting much more serious about his beatboxing! He was told by the DJ that he'd like to do some work with him in the future! So fun...

Parker turns 17!!!

Oh my gosh...Parker is 17 years old!! Unfortunately we had to celebrate a day late because he got super sick with the flu on his birthday...And just lucky for Mom, she got sick too. Grandma and Grandpa Young came over for the weekend, but had to go home early so they didn't get the crud. Parker got an awesome Microphone and sound system for his beat boxing!
The cake is so not awesome! I tried, but felt cruddy...Parker was cool and totally understood. It tasted great though! Gotta love Grandma's Chocolate Wacky Cake!

New Addition to the Family....Jessie

Sasha and Jessie get along really well. They play together a lot. Sasha is such a sweet girl, we love her so much! She's 10 years old now and to think we've had her 8 years!
Jessie is such a good girl. She is very mellow and well behaved. Parker found her at the Humane Society Shelter and became quite attached. She would reach through the gate to hold onto him. We felt like she was meant to be with our family. She loves to lean over the couch and see what's going on down the hall. We sure love our rescue dogs!

Christmas 2009

Notice our happy little tree was leaning to the left...Yeah well on December 17th the tree decided to bite the dust. Yeah, this is the year we'll always remember, because it's the year the tree fell down!! Hayley had a game that night and Parker had his Band Concert...thank goodness Parker and his friend Krys took it down, chucked it in the back yard and we brought up the little tree from the basement, put it on a table in front of the window & passers by could not tell it was a 3 foot tree! We actually liked it...although no picture...
Christmas was good this year, everyone was happy and got what they wanted! We felt very blessed.
