HAYLEY TURNS 16!!

Here is the amazing cake in all it's glory!! It was quite the hit! Nicole did a great job- she's a good friend to do this for Hayley.

Hayley got kidnapped at 6am to out with friends for a birthday breakfast! Kyrstin Akai and Angie McKee are about to blindfold her with this red shirt.


Here is the set up for her birthday bash! I work with Jennie and her family runs a DJ & Sound business on the side. Here they are setting up for the dance! It was really amazing!

Hayley poses in front of her cake! Mom's friend Nicole is a cake baker for weddings, etc. She made this awesome zebra cake for Hayley. It was such a hit that night!

She blew out the candles so fast....just couldn't get her in the act! But she did it!

At the party there were about 68 kids who came....Holy Cow! Quite a Sweet 16 bash!!

Luckily we cut it when we did....there was plenty to go around. Kids were a little full from the nacho's and chips and treats they'd been eating all night!

POKY'S GOT TALENT

It all started out at a Senior All Night party planning meeting. I was there & they up and assigned me to be in charge of Fundraising! I promptly declined because I have no time. But I told the parents I would try to help with it as much as I could. Well after quite a bit of thought, I suggested we do a talent show & call it Poky's Got Talent. Yep, it got turned down 2 months in a row and then after much persistence I brought it up again and they finally bit! I immediately got to work & got permission from Principal and we were off! Lots of people made it happen and so many kids performed. It was a great night! And...we earned $1900. Not bad eh?!

HAYLEY GOES TO CALGARY CANADA ON CHOIR TOUR

Hayley had an absolute blast on her Choir Tour to Canada. She was very lucky to go and get such nice support to be able to make it there.

They made it through customs and are heading into Calgary! Oooh what fun!

Poky's Musical "Bye, Bye Birdie"

Almost entire cast...What a fun musical! They all had so much fun! Here are Parker and Hayley with Linda the choreographer (in peach) and Kaileen in red is the Director! They are amazing and know how to put on a great show!

Parker and Sean Mullett. Sean is a freshman this year and was the Lighting guy! He controlled the lights and spotlights. He did a very good job. He is so silly & just jumped right into Parker's arms for about 2 seconds and then jumped back down. Parker's been a fun mentor to him.

Closing Night. Hayley got flowers and Parker got a honkin stack of candy! They are so cute together and are such good friends. It was very cool that they could do this together before he graduates in a few months.

Parker played a reporter, a father, and a teenager. Hayely played the part of Helen and got to star in "Telephone Hour". They both appeared many many times in the show. Here they are with Bryson (hugging Hayley) he played Hugo. In the back is Curtis Mitton who played Kim's little brother and Seiji Wood who played Conrad Birdie. His black eye is courtesy of Hugo! All such good friends and they had a blast together!

Parker turns 18!!!

After a very disappointing Senior Year in Marching Band, the band members chipped in together and baught Parker this mixer to use for his beatboxing! Parker was in shock and could barely speak. He lead the band with such pride and encouragement, but finally broke down in St. George; the band members knew how much he cared & it was a pretty tender few minutes. Parker's friend Hadley came up with the idea & pitched it to both busses of kids & man did they hand out money...and all for Parker to get this mixer. Hayley got Parker some amazing cologne!

Parker rarely wants Birthday Cake...His favorite is Mom's chocolate fudge. So we stick candles in fudge for him! He loves it!

Here's some of the band after their Christmas Concert. From Left to Right it's : Jake, Tyler, Parker, Robert, Hadley, Alex & Paul. This had been a fun concert & Parker got to beatbox once again.

After the concert Hadley revealed yet another surprise!! You can't see it very well at all, but the band lead Parker out to his car & showed him that they collected enough money, to also get him personalized license plates: "BEATBOX". I helped a little to get it all done!

Winter Already??!!

Thank goodness Parker & Hadley put the Christmas lights up on the day I asked them to! The very next weekend - we got SNOW!!! Parker out shoveling. Note his outfit - yes, he is properly dressed to shovel snow....Now Hayley is another story!

Last Marching Season of High School :-(

Final Pose Parker held after the "Raging Machines" performance was done. Although the show was confusing to those who didn't know what it meant, it always brought chills to see everyone so dark & fierce looking. Especially Parker in front of them all. Here is the final salute once show is done. Everyone throws off their "red" and bares their masks to the stands & judges. It actually was pretty cool. Here is the band in St. George just after their performance walking back to our spot. Everyone was so tired and ready for a break!
