Bridgerland Marching Competition

Parker is the sax on the far right. He has super great form and loves marching! It's kind of sad this will be his last year to be on the field. Next year he'll be the drum major & be leading the band.
Logan Utah was a good win for us today! Poky took 1st in Musical Presentation, Best Visual Performance & best overall performance! Drum Line took 1st and Color Guard took 3rd... It was a fun day!

The Mom's are the ones that keep things going! We run around taking care of the kids the whole time...getting them ready, on the field, carry their Pit stuff and then wrap it all up at the end. Here we are getting ready to feed them after their big 1st place performance!! It's so much fun!

Here they are...small but mighty! Hayley's in front & Parker is on top row with his sax upside down.

Parker is just chilling with his friends after the competition. He is still in uniform because he is Jr. Drum Major and has to go down to receive awards.

Hayley just loves the bus rides! She drives the driver crazy because she's mastered doing flips in the isle and doing her gangster walk! She's the life of the ride! Drum Line & Color Guard ride on one bus and the band gets the other bus...I never see how Parker is on the bus...

Hayley's "Good Works" Project is a huge success!

Hayley put on a Ward Variety Show for her Good Works project. The ward totally rallied behind her and supported her in this. It was a ton of work, but it turned out great! Here are the performances Parker and Hayley were in! There were 17 acts and they all were so much fun! We laughed so hard tonight and we had fun!

Parker and his best bud Connor played "In Dreams" tonight. I thought it was so pretty. Today in Seminary they had a "Conference" and Parker had to give a talk and then he and Connor did this for the musical number - so why not do it again tonight!

Parker really loves to beat box! And I am proud of his talents. He spent a few years just spitting like crazy around the house - but this proves that practice on things is worth it! Everyone was so amazed at what he could do!

In Junior High Hayley's choir teacher & his brother wrote this song. One day Riley (playing piano) called Hayley and said he'd learned to play Mr. Leavitt's song & he asked if she would sing it in her variety show. She was VERY nervous, but did a great job! They both did great! Riley is such a fun kid! The words to this song are just beautiful.

Hayley challenged every auxillary in our ward to do an act. Well...Young Women followed the plan! We had so much fun putting this together in a whole 1 practice! These girls are so much fun! And yes, this is the entire YW in our ward! They did great!

First real competition of 2009 ISU Invitational

It's Hayley's first year of competition and she was nervous!
Hayley gets to lead the line on this song. It's a fun one - she's having a lot of fun in Color Guard
Parker is the Jr. Drum Major this year! He gets to walk out to accept our awards. He is the shorter of the 2 guys.

PS - at this competition we took 3rd - yeah we were sad. Judges didn't like our director and they were short a couple judges - so we got some rough bangs on our scores. But watch out next week at the Davis Cup!
Here she is in action!
Parker is just a pro at marching! He is so fun to watch!

Here Parker is - doing some of his visual moves. He's very sharp and precise. Look at his arms! I'm kinda sad this likely will be his last year to march. Very good chance he'll be drum major next year!

Homecoming 2009!

This is 1/2 of the group that Parker went with. He had a band competition that morning, then hung out at a Reed's gym for a few hours and played games. They got all fixed up and went out to dinner and had Chinese food. Picture time - before they head out to the dance!
Parker's date was Katie Chandler and she is just so cute & bubbily! They looked pretty good together I thought! They had a fun time!

Family Photo Day! We had fun at the Railroad...

We had fun goofing around and she caught us! I love these kids - we have so much fun together! There are teen age rough moments - but we get through them & still love each other! The kids crawled up in that dirty train car - but not me...
There are so many good pictures of her! She is simply gorgeous don't ya think!? She's growing up! She loves being in high school! My baby's not so little anymore...
Parker is just the man! He is such an amazing young man! Even his sister said "he's dang cute Mom" He's having a ton of fun in high school this year. Hard to believe he's a Junior!

Youth Boating Day!

Hayley needed a rest after her turns on the tubes!
Yeah, there's Parker acting like the stud with arms crossed while going about 30 mph on the tube. He managed to stay on and get some major air at 48 mph! He stayed on - but the kid on the left wasn't so lucky! It was a fun day!

Hayley goes to NBC Basketball Camp!

This was us in the hotel room after Hayley got "cute" and ready to go! We were trying to burn off some of her nervous energy! Don't we just look so cute!

July 13-17, 2009 Hayley and I went to Coeur D'Alene, Idaho and she attended a week long intense basketball camp. This was her team & they took the championship at the camp! Hayley plays "Post" and is getting fierce - if she could just get that giggle out of her!
