Linda gets to volunteer on set!

Here they work inside...There were anywhere from 5-10 people in every room, hallway, bathroom - for 6 hours straight - but they got it done! Cool to watch these guys cruise around on stilts!
Muding & Sanding crews come out of the building. It's been a long hot day! From 2-8pm they got all the dry wall taped, mudded & sanded. This home is 4400 sq ft. finished - 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms & a private apartment. That's a lot to do in 6 hours!

While inside crews worked - so did outside crews - they got all the siding on the entire home! Here's a view from the back of the house. I imagine there will be a beautiful patio & outside entertainment area here. Quite an amazing process to be able to watch up close and be a part of.

Every so often the "stars" of the show would show up & film a shot. Here Paulie acts as though he's rock climbing and Ed is handing him water. They show up for 30-40 min. shoot their shot & then leave...then the work begins again. It sure is the behind the scenes people to work their tails off to get the huge service project done.

At a nearby park was the location of the wood working/art crews. It's fun to see what they are working on & how it'll appear in the home & on the show.

This man is restoring an old cello & other instruments to present to the family.

This is towards the end of my shift. I hauled lumber, picked up trash pieces not to be used, carried dry wall out and mostly spent the day walking to every worker there offering them water, gatorade, juice & snacks. The skilled workers were so determined & on such a deadline to get things done, it was hard to make them stop & drink...but they needed to - it was nearly 100 today! Although they were on that huge deadline to get things done. A very fun, exhausting, but fulfilling day! Glad I got the chance to help a little and be involved!

EXTREME HOME MAKEOVER VISITS POKY!

The designers, producers & make up crew decided it'd be fun to play a fun game of softball against Poky's girls varisty softball team. We rotated from fast pitch to slow pitch. During fast pitch we were ahead, during slow - they'd catch up. It was a lot of fun to watch! Paulie is in the middle with orange hat and Jillian Harris (designer & former bachelorette) is in the white tank top on the left side. She was so tiny & very nice!
Hayley's friend Morgan is one of Poky's pitchers, but she got to be pitcher for Extreme Home Makeover's team. After the game she and Hayley got a fun photo with Paulie

During the game Parker got a photo with Paulie and Kayla's brother & daughter. Kayla is Hayley's color guard coach. It was such a fun night!

PARKER WINS TALENT IDOL 2010!!!

I tried to upload the video of his performances, but it wouldn't load. He not only won Talent Idol first place (which got him $300), but he also won the People's Choice Award too! The audience got to vote who they'd pick as the winner & they picked #12 - Parker Kane! Way to go Parker! Pictures of huge trophey's to come soon!
North Bannock County Fair "Talent Idol 2010" contest. It's the preliminaries and Parker is about to go on. He's working with the sound kid setting up his own microphone. He likes to use it instead of provided mic's. Go Parker!!! I would add the recording, but all you hear are crowd screams - so you'll have to just trust it was really good!
This is Parker practicing at home...you find him like this alot...always beatboxing...

New Calling - with a little help from the dog!

I have been called to be the Primary Chorister. I'd done that before many years ago, so I decided to pull out my old box and sort through my things. Jessie just had to be where I am - as usual...and here she is just laying there while I sort things around her. I love her to death, but does she really have to be right in the middle! haha

Lagoon Amusement Park

Here's Hayley and a couple friends strapped into this ride that spins you in 360 degrees and then backwards - yeah no way Mom was going on that thing!

Yes, we rode that thing....even Mom. It was so fun! Here is Hayley and her good friend MaKayla.

It's called Wicked and it truly is pretty scarey....but way fun!

Linda's 25 year High School Reunion - go class of 1985!!!

In high school - these were my 2 very best friends. Val and Sheri. We had the best time at our 25 year reunion from Hopkins High School. After the reunion party Val and I got to stay at Sheri's house (which is so huge!!). Sheri suprised us with a bunch of letter's she'd saved from high school that Val and I had written her and folded uniquely and slipped in her locker slots. We stayed up until 4:30 am reading the notes, laughing, crying and telling our life stories. It was the best time ever and I am so thankful I could go! I love these ladies!!

Here Sheri sets out her letterman's jacket and we assembled a table full of old memories, yearbooks, newsletters, etc. So much fun was had - just wish my flash worked and I had more pictures.

Last night there...sad yet happy times. We had a big birthday party & potluck for the July birthdays. The kids later went out and played at arcade where they all tried to get phone #'s of...well...dates or friends...haha!
Last day on the beach - Parker tried to get a picture up in Lifeguard stand, but it was not allowed. Instead he poses by Lifeguard truck.

We had a bonfire out on the beach...and that was FREAKIN AMAZING!!! You can hear waves crash on shore, but you're nice and warm by fire. We had smores and banana boats. The kids played football and soccer on the beach. Alyssa found us tons of wood on the beach so our fire went on nice and strong for a long time...Best time ever!

We are sad to see vacation end...but are thankful that this can be a yearly thing and can't wait for 2012 when Kathee and Dave's family will be there too! Thank you Grandma and Grandpa for the time of our life!
